Indications for use

Side effects

Carvedilol can lead to hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Call your doctor if you have any of the following symptoms of hyperglycemia:

  • thirst
  • frequent urination
  • extreme hunger
  • weakness
  • blurred vision

Carvedilol can cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

  • fatigue
  • weakness
  • frivolity
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • diarrhea
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • vision change
  • pain in the joints
  • Difficulty falling asleep or sleeping
  • cough
  • dry eyes
  • numbness, burning or tingling in the hands or feet

  • fainting
  • labored breathing

Overdose

In case of an overdose, call the local poison control center. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call the local emergency services at 911. Symptoms of overdose may include:

  • slow heartbeat
  • dizziness
  • fainting
  • labored breathing
  • vomiting
  • loss of consciousness
  • convulsions

Special Diet

If your doctor tells you otherwise, continue with a normal diet.

 

If you missed the reception

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
